This joint resolution calls for an advisory referendum on the question of
enacting the death penalty in this state for certain types of first-degree intentional
homicide, as the legislature may prescribe by law. The referendum is to be held at
the next spring or general election occurring not sooner than 45 days after adoption
of the resolution.
