Whereas, the year 1999 commemorates "The Year of the Enlisted Force" for the
4enlisted men and women of the Air National Guard; and

Whereas, during the past 51 years, the enlisted men and women of the
6Wisconsin Air National Guard supported the Korean Conflict, Operation Desert
7Shield, Operation Desert Storm and numerous humanitarian and peace-keeping
8missions worldwide; and

Whereas, the efforts of dedicated enlisted men and women of the Wisconsin Air
10National Guard combined over the years to earn numerous awards, including the
11coveted Air Force Outstanding Unit Award; and

Whereas, the emphasis on charting the future, along with the establishment of
13solid attainable long-term goals by the senior enlisted leadership, ensures the
14readiness, relevancy and viability of the Wisconsin Air National Guard well into the
15next millennium; and

2have continuously rendered outstanding unselfish service to the nation, state and

4Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
5legislature of the state of Wisconsin commend the enlisted men and women of the
6Wisconsin Air National Guard as they celebrate "The Year of the Enlisted Force";

8Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall present a copy of this joint
