AR14,1,2 1Relating to: offering sincerest condolences to the families of the victims who were
2killed in the earthquake in Taiwan.
AR14,1,63 Whereas, it is with regret and deep sorrow that we, the members of the
4Wisconsin assembly, hear of the tragic earthquake and subsequent tremors that
5killed hundreds of people and wreaked havoc in the Republic of China on Taiwan;
6and
AR14,1,87 Whereas, our prayers and heartfelt wishes go out to the many families who lost
8loved ones and have suffered overwhelming loss in the earthquake's aftermath; and
AR14,1,109 Whereas, our warm thoughts will continually be with the people of Taiwan as
10they search for answers as to why such a tragedy occurred; and
AR14,1,1311 Whereas, it is our hope that the courage and strength of the Taiwanese nation
12will be able to overcome this horrific act of nature and that the people will once again
13find harmony and peace on their beautiful island nation; now, therefore, be it

1Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the assembly offer our
2sincerest condolences to the families of the victims who were killed in the earthquake
3disaster; and, be it further
AR14,2,5 4Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall send copies of this resolution to
5the director general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago, Illinois.
