AB312,1,1 1An Act relating to: paratuberculosis testing and making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the department of agriculture, trade and consumer
protection provides financial assistance to owners of livestock herds for conducting
testing for paratuberculosis (commonly called Johne's disease). This bill increases
the funding for that financial assistance by $400,000 in each fiscal year of the
2001-03 biennium.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB312, s. 1 2Section 1. Appropriation changes.
AB312,2,23 (1) Paratuberculosis testing. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the
4statutes for the appropriation to the department of agriculture, trade and consumer
5protection under section 20.115 (2) (c) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2001,
6the dollar amount is increased by $400,000 for fiscal year 2001-02 and the dollar

1amount is increased by $400,000 for fiscal year 2002-03 to increase funding for the
2purpose for which the appropriation is made.
AB312, s. 2 3Section 2. Effective date.
AB312,2,54 (1) This act takes effect on the day after publication or on the 2nd day after
5publication of the 2001-03 biennial budget act, whichever is later.
