AJR54,1,9 2Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That, upon the adoption
3of this joint resolution by the assembly and concurrence therein by the senate and
4notwithstanding joint rule 3, there is created a committee of conference on electoral
5reform, to reconcile the differences between the 2 houses, as reflected by 2001
6Assembly Bill 49, as engrossed by the assembly, 2001 Senate Bill 110, as engrossed
7by the senate, and 2001 Senate Bill 110, as affected by assembly amendments 2 to
88 thereto, and to present its report on either or both of the bills to the 2 houses; and,

AJR54,1,11 10Resolved, That, notwithstanding joint rule 3, senate rule 35, and assembly
11rule 40 (1):
AJR54,1,1212 (1) Neither bill need receive 3 readings.
AJR54,1,1513 (2) The committee of conference shall consist of 4 members from each house,
14with 3 members from each house representing the majority party in that house and
15one member from each house nominated by the minority leader in that house.

1(3) The report by the committee of conference must be supported by the vote
2of at least a majority of the members representing each house.
