AJR84,1,43 Whereas, Terry Mulcahy has served as secretary of the Wisconsin Department
4of Transportation since April of 2000; and
AJR84,1,75 Whereas, Terry Mulcahy has a long and distinguished 46-year career of service
6to the people of the state of Wisconsin in the State Highway Commission and the
7Wisconsin Department of Transportation; and
AJR84,1,118 Whereas, Terry Mulcahy has been instrumental in the transformation of
9Wisconsin's highway network in the late 20th century, with significant contributions
10to the establishment and construction of the interstate highway system and
11Wisconsin's Corridors 2020 highway network; and
AJR84,1,1412 Whereas, Terry Mulcahy has consistently advocated for a balanced
13transportation network in Wisconsin, involving highways, transit, airports,
14railroads, bicycle, pedestrian, and water transportation modes; and

1Whereas, Terry Mulcahy has served as a leader in many national organizations,
2including the States for Passenger Rail Coalition, the High Speed Ground
3Transportation Association, and the American Association of State Highway and
4Transportation Officials; and
AJR84,2,75 Whereas, Terry Mulcahy has served Wisconsin in key state organizations,
6including the Wisconsin Land Council and the Governor's Blue Ribbon Task Force
7on Passenger Rail Service; and
AJR84,2,138 Whereas, Terry Mulcahy has served his country through a long and dedicated
9career in the U.S. military; serving on active duty as company commander in the
10Vietnam War; rising to the rank of major general in the U.S. Army Reserves; and
11serving as the ranking army reserve general officer and senior engineer for the U.S.
12armed forces in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm; now,
13therefore, be it
AJR84,2,17 14Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
15Wisconsin legislature recognize and congratulate Terry Mulcahy for his long service
16to the people of the state of Wisconsin and the United States of America, and wish
17him well in future endeavors; and, be it further
AJR84,2,19 18Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this joint
19resolution to Mr. Mulcahy.
