AB132,1,2 1An Act to create 146.816 of the statutes; relating to: required type size for
2laboratory reports.

Beginning on July 1, 2004, or the day after publication of this bill as an act,
whichever is earlier, this bill requires that patient health care records that are
laboratory test reports of hospitals or certified laboratories be printed with a type
size that is no smaller than 14 point.

printed as an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB132, s. 1 3Section 1. 146.816 of the statutes is created to read:
AB132,1,7 4146.816 Format of certain patient health care records. A patient health
5care record that is a report of laboratory test services of a hospital, as defined in s.
650.32 (2), or of a laboratory certified under 42 USC 263a shall be printed with a type
7size that is no smaller than 14 point.

1Section 2. Initial applicability.
AB132,2,32 (1) This act first applies to laboratory test services performed on the effective
3date of this subsection.
AB132, s. 3 4Section 3. Effective date.
AB132,2,65 (1) This act takes effect on July 1, 2004, or on the day after publication,
6whichever is earlier.
