AB773,1,2 1An Act relating to: funding for work-based learning programs and making an
2appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the Department of Workforce Development organizes
work-based learning programs for elementary and high school students. These
programs help students find postsecondary educational opportunities and give
students workplace learning opportunities through apprenticeships. The programs
are funded from Indian gaming receipts.
This bill increases the amount of Indian gaming receipts that is appropriated
to the Technical College System Board for work-based learning programs.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB773,2,24 (1) In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation
5to the technical college system board under section 20.292 (1) (kd) of the statutes, as
6affected by the acts of 2003, the dollar amount is increased by $300,000 for fiscal year

12003-04 and the dollar amount is increased by $300,000 for fiscal year 2004-05 to
2increase funding for the work-based learning programs.
