AJR3,1,32 Whereas, Wilmer H. Struebing was born on April 2, 1910, in Brillion,
3Wisconsin, and died on January 7, 2003, in New Holstein; and
AJR3,1,44 Whereas, Mr. Struebing was educated in the Brillion public schools; and
AJR3,1,55 Whereas, he married Henrietta Vaupel on February 10, 1937; and
AJR3,1,76 Whereas, Mr. Struebing served on the Brillion School Board, the Brillion Town
7Board, and the Calumet County Board; and
AJR3,1,98 Whereas, Mr. Struebing was first elected to the Wisconsin assembly in 1962,
9representing Calumet County, and served in the 1963 and 1965 sessions; and
AJR3,1,1110 Whereas, during his tenure in the assembly, he served on the Committee on
11Education and the Committee on State Affairs; and
AJR3,1,1412 Whereas, Mr. Struebing served as assembly chief clerk from May 16, 1967,
13through the 1969 session, and he subsequently served as assistant senate chief clerk;

1Whereas, after he retired from the Wisconsin legislature, Mr. Struebing worked
2for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture (now the Department of Agriculture,
3Trade and Consumer Protection); now, therefore, be it
AJR3,2,7 4Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
5Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service that Wilmer H. Struebing
6contributed to this state and his community, express their sorrow at his death, and
7extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
AJR3,2,10 8Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
9resolution to Mr. Struebing's wife, Henrietta of Brillion, to his daughter, Mary Lee
10Hoffman of Oshkosh, and to his sons, George and Jim of Brillion.
