AR7,1,2 1Relating to: recognizing Chief State Forester Gene Francisco's accomplishments
2and 34 years of dedicated service to the state of Wisconsin.
AR7,1,43 Whereas, Gene L. Francisco has led a long and distinguished career with the
4state of Wisconsin, serving most recently as Wisconsin's Chief State Forester; and
AR7,1,85 Whereas, during Gene Francisco's 34-year service to the state of Wisconsin, he
6has risen through the ranks because of his dedication and professionalism, working
7as forester/ranger, forest fire dispatcher, Oshkosh area forestry supervisor, deputy
8director of the bureau of forestry, and director of the bureau of forestry; and
AR7,1,119 Whereas, Gene Francisco's extensive field experience and insight have added
10to Wisconsin's history of pragmatic and scientific development of its forestry policies;
11and
AR7,1,1512 Whereas, Gene Francisco helped elevate forestry from bureau to division
13status, giving Wisconsin's forests a position of prominence in environmental and
14economic policies while ensuring Wisconsin's forests are managed sustainedly and
15responsibly for the future; and

1Whereas, many generations to come will have the opportunity to enjoy the
2splendor of Wisconsin's forests because of Gene Francisco's foresight and dedication;

AR7,2,54 Whereas, Gene Francisco's dedication and expertise have left an indelible and
5positive imprint on Wisconsin's forests; now, therefore, be it
AR7,2,8 6Resolved by the assembly, That the Wisconsin state assembly is honored to
7recognize and congratulate Gene Francisco on his many accomplishments and 34
8years of dedicated service to the state of Wisconsin; and, be it further
AR7,2,10 9Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution
10to Mr. Francisco.
