This bill requires that a taxation district clerk mail property tax bills to
taxpayers no later than the third Monday in December.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB102, s. 1 3Section 1. 74.09 (5) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB102,1,94 74.09 (5) Mailing. The No later than the 3rd Monday in December, the taxation
5district clerk or the clerk's designee shall mail the property tax bill to each property
6taxpayer of the taxation district or the taxpayer's designee. If the property tax bill
7is mailed to the taxpayer's designee, the designee shall furnish the taxpayer with a
8copy of the bill. Failure to meet the deadline under this subsection is not a violation
9of s. 946.12 (1).

SB102,2,22 (1) This act first applies to the property tax assessments as of January 1, 2003.
