AB13,1,2 An Act relating to: the protection and management of the public waters of Wisconsin.

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau

This bill is introduced in support of the action of the Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules in suspending section NR 1.016, Wis. Adm. Code, an emergency rule of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), on July 21, 2004. The bill invalidates emergency rules promulgated by DNR relating to responsibilities of DNR and the Natural Resources Board for protecting and managing the public waters in Wisconsin.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB13, s. 1 Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB13,2,2 (1) The emergency rules promulgated by the department of natural resources that took effect on April 19, 2004, and that created section NR 1.016 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code relating to the protection and management of public waters are void.
