AB191,1,2 1An Act to amend 120.11 (4) of the statutes; relating to: posting the proceedings
2of a school board meeting on the school district's Internet site.

Under current law, the proceedings of a school board meeting must be published
in a newspaper published in the school district or publicized by school district-wide
distribution. This bill allows a school board to post the proceedings on the school
district's Internet site.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB191, s. 1 3Section 1. 120.11 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB191,2,64 120.11 (4) The proceedings of a school board meeting shall be published within
545 days after the meeting as a class 1 notice, under ch. 985, in a newspaper published
6in the school district, if any, or publicized by school district-wide distribution
7prepared and directed by the school board, or posted on the school district's Internet
8site,
and paid out of school funds. If there is no newspaper published in the school

1district, the proceedings shall be posted or published as the school board directs. For
2the purpose of publication, the proceedings shall include the substance of every
3official action taken by the school board at the meeting and a statement of receipts
4and expenditures in the aggregate. The school board shall make a detailed record
5of all receipts and expenditures available to the public for inspection at each school
6board meeting and upon request.
