AB246,1,3 1An Act to amend 38.04 (4) (am); and to create 38.04 (4) (f) and 38.22 (7) of the
2statutes; relating to: admission standards for, and the curricula of, health
3occupation programs offered by technical colleges.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill directs the Technical College System Board, within a specified period,
to develop admissions standards and a standard curriculum for each health
occupation program offered by the technical college districts and ensure that all
district boards adopt them.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB246, s. 1 4Section 1. 38.04 (4) (am) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB246,1,75 38.04 (4) (am) The Except as provided in par. (f), the board shall not consider
6any course of study for approval under par. (a) that has not first been approved by
7the district board.

1Section 2. 38.04 (4) (f) of the statutes is created to read:
AB246,2,32 38.04 (4) (f) The board shall develop a curriculum for each health occupation
3program offered by the districts and ensure that each district board adopts it.
AB246, s. 3 4Section 3. 38.22 (7) of the statutes is created to read:
AB246,2,65 38.22 (7) The board shall establish admission standards, applicable to all
6districts, for the health occupation programs offered by the districts.
AB246, s. 4 7Section 4. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB246,2,108 (1) The technical college system board shall develop the curricula and
9admission standards required by this act by the first day of the 60th month beginning
10after the effective date of this subsection.
