1An Act to create 27.01 (16) of the statutes;
relating to: the use of golf carts in
2a certain state park and state forest and providing rule-making authority.

This bill requires the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to permit the use
of golf carts in Governor Tommy G. Thompson Centennial State Park and the Pestigo
River State Forest by persons age16 and over. Under the bill, DNR must promulgate
rules that limit the use of the golf carts to approximately the same time and places
as golf carts were used in those areas before the state purchased the properties.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

1. 27.01 (16) of the statutes is created to read:

(16) Limited golf cart use. The department shall permit the use of golf
5carts by persons age 16 and over in Governor Tommy G. Thompson Centennial State
6Park and the Peshtigo River State Forest. The department shall promulgate a rule
7that specifies when and where golf carts may be used in that state park and state
8forest. The rule shall limit the use of golf carts to approximately the same time and
1places as golf carts were used in those properties before they were purchased by the
2state.
