Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, no person may manufacture, sell, rent, or operate an
all-terrain vehicle that emits noise exceeding 96 decibels on the A scale as measured
in a manner prescribed by rules promulgated by the Department of Natural
Resources. This bill provides that this noise limit does not apply to an all-terrain
vehicle while it is operated on a privately owned raceway facility.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
