AB840,1,3 1An Act to create 13.94 (1) (s) of the statutes; relating to: audits of informational
2technology development projects by the Legislative Audit Bureau and making
3appropriations.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
The bill requires the Legislative Audit Bureau (LAB) to submit an annual
report to the governor and the chief clerk of each house of the legislature, for
distribution to the legislature, on audits of information technology development
projects of executive branch state agencies. The bill also increases the authorized
positions for LAB by two auditor positions, which are fully funded in the bill, and
increases an appropriation to LAB by $200,000 for contracting with vendors to
monitor information technology development projects of executive branch state
agencies.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB840, s. 1 4Section 1. 13.94 (1) (s) of the statutes is created to read:
AB840,2,25 13.94 (1) (s) Annually, before July 1, submit a report to the governor and the
6chief clerk of each house of the legislature, for distribution to the legislature under

1s. 13.172 (2), on audits of information technology development projects of executive
2branch state agencies.

AB840,2,94 (1) In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation
5to the legislative audit bureau under section 20.765 (3) (c) of the statutes, as affected
6by the acts of 2007, the dollar amount is increased by $76,000 for fiscal year 2007-08
7and the dollar amount is increased by $131,800 for fiscal year 2008-09 to increase
8the authorized FTE positions for the legislative audit bureau by 2.0 GPR auditor
9positions to perform audits of information technology development projects.

11to the legislative audit bureau under section 20.765 (3) (c) of the statutes, as affected
12by the acts of 2007, the dollar amount is increased by $200,000 for fiscal year 2007-08
13to provide funding for contracts with vendors for the purpose of monitoring
14information technology development projects of executive branch state agencies.
