AB355,1,2 1An Act to repeal 29.569 (2); and to amend 29.569 (1) of the statutes; relating
2to:
hunting of deer during the open bow hunting season.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law, with limited exceptions, prohibits a person who is issued a deer
hunting license that authorizes hunting deer with a bow and arrow during the open
deer bow hunting season from using the license until three days after it is issued.
This bill repeals this prohibition.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB355, s. 1 3Section 1. 29.569 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB355,1,94 29.569 (1) Specification of effective periods; restrictions. Unless an
5approval issued under this chapter is suspended or revoked or unless another section
6of this chapter specifically provides otherwise, the approval is valid for the period or
7season specified on the face of the approval or on an attachment to the approval. In
8addition to any other restriction under this chapter, no license may be issued if that
9issuance is restricted under sub. (2) or (3).
