AJR112,1,42 Whereas, Tibetans around the world are holding events to commemorate 51
3years of exile and celebrate the efforts to preserve and sustain their identity and to
4thank governments, including the United States for its support during this time; and
AJR112,1,75 Whereas, the United States Congress has enacted legislation declaring Tibet
6 an occupied country whose true representatives are His Holiness the Dalai Lama
7and the Tibetan Government in Exile; and
AJR112,1,118 Whereas, the accumulated grievances of almost six decades of cultural,
9religious, economic, and linguistic repression of the Tibetan people by the
10government of the People's Republic of China has resulted in resentments that are
11the root of the Tibetan protests; and
AJR112,2,212 Whereas, the human rights and freedom in Tibet must be the concern of all
13freedom-loving people who must call on the government of China to end its
14crackdown on Tibet and enter into a substantive dialogue with His Holiness the

1Dalai Lama to find a negotiated solution to protect the fundamental freedoms of all
2Tibetans; and
AJR112,2,63 Whereas, on March 10, 2010, Tibetans will gather in their host countries to
4commemorate the 51st anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising against the
5Chinese occupation of their country and to honor more than one million Tibetans who
6died in their struggle for the independence of Tibet; and
AJR112,2,97 Whereas, it is fitting on this 51st anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising
8that we recognize Wisconsin's Tibetan community and its plea for justice; now,
9therefore, be it
AJR112,2,11 10Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
11Wisconsin legislature proclaim March 10, 2010, "Tibet Day."
