AJR5,1,22 Whereas, Jerome J. Kleczka passed away on January 3, 2009; and
AJR5,1,43 Whereas, Jerome J. Kleczka was born in Little Suamico, Wisconsin, the eldest
4of four children; and
AJR5,1,75 Whereas, Jerome graduated from the old Don Bosco High School and studied
6at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before developing plans to work in the
7funeral business; and
AJR5,1,98 Whereas, he enrolled in the Wisconsin Institute for Mortuary Science and upon
9licensure began working for the F.J. Borgwardt Funeral Home; and
AJR5,1,1210 Whereas, in 1965, he accepted a position with the Prasser Funeral Home and
11later, upon becoming a full partner, the funeral home was renamed the
12Prasser—Kleczka Funeral Home; and
AJR5,1,1513 Whereas, Jerome served as president of the Bay View Kiwanis Club and the
14Bay View Inter-Organization Council, a member of the Milwaukee Lake Lions Club,
15and a member of the Saint Veronica's Catholic Church Parish Council; and

1Whereas, Jerome was the loving husband of Marianne Culver, the loyal brother
2of United States Congressman Jerry D. Kleczka, the proud father of his family, and
3a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan; now, therefore, be it
AJR5,2,6 4Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the legislature of
5the state of Wisconsin commemorates the life and public service of Jerome J. Kleczka
6and mourns his passing.
