AB700,1,2 1An Act to create 14.025 of the statutes; relating to: posting of gubernatorial
2appointment vacancies on the Internet Web site of the Office of the Governor.

This bill provides that, before nominating or appointing any person to a position
in state government, the governor must post on the Internet Web site of the Office
of the Governor the title of the position and a brief summary of the duties of the
position. In addition, after such a position is filled, the governor must post on the
Internet Web site all of the following: the title of the position; the name of the
individual holding the position; the salary paid to the individual holding the position
and the salary paid to the individual who previously held the position; and a brief
summary of the qualifications of the individual holding the position.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB700, s. 1 3Section 1. 14.025 of the statutes is created to read:
AB700,2,2 414.025 Gubernatorial appointments. (1) Before nominating or appointing
5any person to a position in state government, the governor shall post on the Internet

AB700,2,4 3(2) After a position identified in sub. (1) is filled, the governor shall post on the
4Internet Web site all of the following:
AB700,2,55 (a) The title of the position.
AB700,2,66 (b) The name of the individual holding the position.
AB700,2,87 (c) The salary paid to the individual holding the position and the salary paid
8to the individual who previously held the position.
AB700,2,99 (d) A brief summary of the qualifications of the individual holding the position.
AB700, s. 2 10Section 2. Initial applicability.
AB700,2,1211 (1) This act first applies to individuals nominated or appointed to positions in
12state government by the governor on the effective date of this subsection.
