AJR132,1,32 Whereas, career and technical student organizations (CTSO's) are a vital part
3of Wisconsin's rich public education tradition; and
AJR132,1,74 Whereas, there are many participating CTSO's in Wisconsin, including the
5Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), DECA, Family, Career and
6Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Wisconsin Future Farmers of America
7(FFA), and the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA); and
AJR132,1,98 Whereas, over 40,000 students and 800 chapters have participated in CTSO's
9in a single year; and
AJR132,1,1110 Whereas, these programs help to develop the future business and civil
11leadership of Wisconsin through community service and competitive activities; and
AJR132,1,1312 Whereas, involvement in CTSO's promotes academic and civic engagement,
13self-efficacy, and employment skills in participating members; and

1Whereas, CTSO's provide invaluable resources and time to charities statewide,
2including raising over $80,000 in support and donating over 15,000 hours in
3volunteer efforts; now, therefore, be it
AJR132,2,7 4Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the legislature
5applauds and encourages leaders to support the efforts of career and technical
6student organizations in developing the future leaders of Wisconsin; and, be it

AJR132,2,9 8Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
9resolution to participating career and technical student organizations.
