AB643,1,3 1An Act to affect 2013 Wisconsin Act 20, section 9134 (2q) (f) 3. d.; relating to:
2public hearings regarding the adoption of college and career readiness

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law directs the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) to adopt college
and career readiness standards by July 1, 2014. DPI may not adopt the standards,
however, until it conducts at least three public hearings.
This bill requires DPI to conduct at least six public hearings regarding the
adoption of college and career readiness standards. The last three hearings must be
held on three different days and must each be at least three hours long, with no more
than one hearing in any seven-day period and at least one hearing that continues
until 8:00 p.m.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
