SB117,1,2 1An Act to amend 321.35 (1) of the statutes; relating to: the payment of travel
2expenses of national guard members on state active duty.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill allows a member of the national guard who is called into state active
duty to receive the same amount of travel expenses as the federal government pays
to an officer or enlisted member of equal rank in the corresponding branch of the U.S.
armed forces. Currently, they are reimbursed the same amount of travel expenses
as state employees.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB117,1 3Section 1. 321.35 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB117,1,74 321.35 (1) Every officer and enlisted person on state active duty in the national
5guard shall receive the base pay and, allowances, and, notwithstanding ss. 16.53 (12)
6(c) and 20.916 (8) and (9), travel expenses
of an officer or enlisted person of equal rank
7in the corresponding branch of the U.S. armed forces.
