2013 - 2014 LEGISLATURE
September 10, 2013 - Introduced by Senator Grothman, cosponsored by
Representative J. Ott. Referred to Committee on Judiciary and Labor.
SB296,1,2 1An Act to repeal 165.828 of the statutes; relating to: transaction information
2for management of enforcement system.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the Department of Justice (DOJ) administers the
transaction information for management of enforcement system (TIME system),
which provides access to information regarding law enforcement to tribal law
enforcement agencies and other law enforcement agencies. Current law requires
DOJ to submit to the Joint Committee on Finance (JCF) a resource allocation plan
that sets limits and priorities for access to the TIME system if the average daily
message volume for any three-month period exceeds 100,000.
This bill eliminates the requirement that DOJ submit a plan to JCF.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB296,1 3Section 1. 165.828 of the statutes is repealed.
SB296,1,44 (End)
