Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill modifies an exception under current law relating to the presence of
underage persons on alcohol licensed premises.
Under current law, a person who is under 21 years of age and not accompanied
by his or her parent, guardian, or spouse who is at least 21 years of age
(unaccompanied underage person) may not enter or be on any premises for which a
license for the retail sale of alcohol beverages has been issued. Current law also
provides for various exceptions to this prohibition. One of these exceptions allows
an unaccompanied underage person to enter or be on premises for which a license is
issued to the Wisconsin Renaissance Faire in the city of Chippewa Falls.
This bill modifies this exception to allow an unaccompanied underage person
to enter or be on licensed premises at the Eagle Ridge Festival Grounds in the city
of Chippewa Falls.
