AB975,1,2 An Act to create 8.21 (2) (br) of the statutes; relating to: eligibility of a candidate for elective office.

This bill prohibits an individual from being a candidate on the same ballot for two or more offices simultaneously.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB975,1 Section 1. 8.21 (2) (br) of the statutes is created to read:

AB975,1,5 8.21 (2) (br) That the signer is not a candidate on the same ballot for any elective national, state, or local office other than the office named under par. (a).

AB975,2 Section 2. Initial applicability.

AB975,1,8 (1) This act first applies to a declaration of candidacy filed on the effective date of this subsection.
