AR30,1,1 To create assembly rule 55m (3); relating to: debate on the executive budget bill.

The resolution amends the assembly rules to require that under any agreement between the majority and minority leaders on time limits for debate on the executive budget bill 1) debate on the bill must occur during normal waking hours when residents of Wisconsin may easily observe the proceedings and 2) the assembly must recess or adjourn until the next legislative day whenever debate during a legislative day reaches the end of normal waking hours when residents of Wisconsin may easily observe the proceedings.

AR30,1,2 Resolved by the assembly, That:

AR30,1 Section 1. Assembly rule 55m (3) is created to read:

AR30,1,6 Assembly Rule 55m (3) For the executive budget bill introduced under section 16.47 of the statutes, time limits and schedules established under sub. (1) shall require the following:

AR30,1,8 (a) That debate on the bill occur during normal waking hours when residents of Wisconsin may easily observe the proceedings.

AR30,2,3 (b) That the assembly recess or adjourn until the next legislative day whenever debate during a legislative day reaches the end of normal waking hours when residents of Wisconsin may easily observe the proceedings.
