SB11,1,2 1An Act to create 86.19 (1g) of the statutes; relating to: directional signage for
2the Basilica of St. Josaphat in Milwaukee County.

This bill requires the Department of Transportation to erect and maintain four
directional signs for the Basilica of St. Josaphat in Milwaukee County. A sign must
be erected along eastbound and westbound I 94 and along the exit ramps that
correspond to the signs along the main roadway. No state funds, other than from
contributions from interested parties, may be used for the fabrication, erection, or
maintenance of the signs.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB11,1 3Section 1. 86.19 (1g) of the statutes is created to read:
SB11,1,74 86.19 (1g) (a) Subject to par. (b), the department shall erect and maintain 2
5directional signs along eastbound and westbound I 94 and 2 directional signs along
6the exit ramps that correspond to the signs along the main roadway in Milwaukee
7County for the Basilica of St. Josaphat.

1(b) Upon receipt of sufficient contributions from interested parties, including
2any county, city, village, or town, to cover the costs of fabricating, erecting, and
3maintaining the signs specified in par. (a), the department shall erect and maintain
4the signs. No state funds, other than from the receipt of contributions under this
5paragraph, may be expended for the fabrication, erection, or maintenance of the
6signs.
