AB126,1,3 1An Act to amend 446.028 of the statutes; relating to: continuing education
2program sponsors for chiropractors, chiropractic technicians, and chiropractic
3radiological technicians.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill requires that a program sponsor for continuing education for certified
chiropractic technicians and certified chiropractic radiological technicians submit
its program to the Chiropractic Examining Board for approval. The bill also adds the
Chiropractic Society of Wisconsin, the American Chiropractic Association, and the
Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards to the list of chiropractic continuing
education program sponsors acceptable for license renewal in this state.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB126,1 4Section 1. 446.028 of the statutes is amended to read:
AB126,2,11 5446.028 Continuing education approval; program sponsors. Each
6program sponsor of a continuing education program required to be completed by a

1chiropractor, chiropractic technician, or chiropractic radiological technician as a
2condition of license renewal shall submit the program to the examining board for
3approval. In this section, “program sponsor" means the Wisconsin Chiropractic
4Association, the Chiropractic Society of Wisconsin, the American Chiropractic
5Association, the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards,
the International
6Chiropractors Association, a college of chiropractic approved by the examining
7board, and a college of medicine or osteopathy accredited by an accrediting body
8listed as nationally recognized by the secretary of the federal department of
9education. “Program sponsor" does not include an individual, organization, or
10institution of higher education approved under s. 46.03 (38) to provide instruction
11in the use of an automated external defibrillator.
