AB20,1,3 1An Act to amend 194.32 of the statutes; relating to: operation of a motor bus
2with an attached trailer (suggested as remedial legislation by the Department
3of Transportation).

This bill eliminates the prohibition on the operation of a motor bus with a trailer
or semitrailer attached.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB20,1 4Section 1. 194.32 of the statutes is amended to read:
AB20,2,5 5194.32 Buses, restrictions. No common motor carrier of passengers shall
6operate any passenger-carrying bus over any public highway of this state with any
7trailer or semitrailer attached except for an articulated bus as defined in s. 340.01
8(2m).
No interurban motor bus which is of a double-decked open-roof design shall
9be operated upon the public highways under the authority of this chapter. As used

1in this section an interurban motor bus is deemed to be of a “double-decked
2open-roof design" when passengers are carried therein on an upper level throughout
3the length of the bus over passengers on a lower level throughout the length of the
4bus and the bus roof does not extend throughout the length of the bus or is not
5permanently enclosed with rigid construction.
