This bill adds one circuit court branch for Calumet County, effective August 1,
2018.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB458,1 3Section 1. 753.06 (4) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB458,1,54 753.06 (4) (a) Calumet County. The circuit has one branch. Commencing on
5August 1, 2018, the circuit has 2 branches.
AB458,2 6Section 2. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB458,1,97 (1) The first election for circuit judge for branch 2 of the circuit court for
8Calumet County shall be at the 2018 spring election for a term commencing on
9August 1, 2018.

1(2) The authorized FTE positions for the circuit courts, funded from the
2appropriation under section 20.625 (1) (a) of the statutes, are increased by 1.0 GPR
3circuit court judge position on August 1, 2018, for the purpose of providing one circuit
4court judge for the circuit court branch created by this act in Calumet County.
AB458,2,85 (3) The authorized FTE positions for the circuit courts, funded from the
6appropriation under section 20.625 (1) (a) of the statutes, are increased by 1.0 GPR
7court reporter position on August 1, 2018, for the purpose of providing one court
8reporter for the circuit court branch created by this act in Calumet County.
