This bill requires the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer
Protection, in consultation with the Institute for Urban Agriculture and Nutrition
and its member organizations, to identify unused and available municipal, county,
or state land located in the 30th Street Industrial Corridor in Milwaukee that could
be used for a Wisconsin School of Urban Agriculture.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB671,1 3Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB671,2,64 (1) Wisconsin School of Urban Agriculture. The department of agriculture,
5trade and consumer protection shall, in consultation with the Institute for Urban
6Agriculture and Nutrition, or any successor organization, and its member
7organizations, identify unused and available municipal, county, or state land in the

130th Street industrial corridor in the city of Milwaukee that could be used for a state
2school dedicated to urban agriculture and to working with local food systems, to be
3called the Wisconsin School of Urban Agriculture, at which institutions of higher
4education can offer classes for degrees in urban farming. The department shall
5report its findings to the appropriate standing committees of the legislature no later
6than 2 years after the effective date of this subsection .... [LRB inserts date].
