This bill requires the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer
Protection, in consultation with the federal Department of Agriculture and the
Institute for Urban Agriculture and Nutrition and its member organizations, to
develop and promote programs to support urban farming.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

493.43 Urban farming. The department shall, in consultation with the federal
5department of agriculture and the Institute for Urban Agriculture and Nutrition, or
6any successor organization, and its member organizations, develop and promote
7programs to support urban farming.
