AB750,1,2 1An Act to create 13.45 (4r) of the statutes; relating to: appointment of majority
2and minority members to legislative committees and task forces.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
The bill requires that every legislative committee or other committee or task
force on which there are legislative members selected by either house or the officers
thereof must include both majority and minority members. The bill further provides
that if the legislative committee or other committee or task force is a joint legislative
committee or joint committee or task force, the entity must include both majority and
minority members from each house of the legislature.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB750,1 3Section 1. 13.45 (4r) of the statutes is created to read:
AB750,2,44 13.45 (4r) Majority and minority party representation on legislative
5committees and task forces.
Every legislative committee or other committee or task
6force on which there are legislative members selected by either house or the officers
7thereof shall include both majority and minority members. If the legislative

1committee or other committee or task force is a joint legislative committee or joint
2committee or task force, the entity must include both majority and minority
3members from each house of the legislature. This subsection does not apply to a
4partisan caucus.
