AJR30,1,3 1Relating to: requesting the federal administration to halt efforts to cut taxes for
2millionaires and increase health care costs for patients, decrease access to
3affordable care, and discriminate against trusted health care providers.
AJR30,1,74 Whereas, the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation has determined that
5Republican plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act will deliver approximately $157
6billion in tax cuts to those with annual incomes over $1 million in the coming decade;
7and
AJR30,1,118 Whereas, Speaker Paul Ryan and Congressional Republicans have unveiled a
9health care plan that will increase health care costs for older Americans, allowing
10health insurance companies to assess premiums on seniors at a rate five times higher
11than that assessed on younger Americans; and
AJR30,2,212 Whereas, estimates from the Congressional Budget Office indicate the proposal
13will increase the number of uninsured Americans by 24 million and the Center on
14Budget and Policy Priorities estimates a $370 billion loss in federal support for

1states, which reduces access to affordable health care and increases cost to states by
2capping Medicaid expenditures; and
AJR30,2,63 Whereas, the proposed legislation ends Medicaid reimbursement for a trusted
4health care provider like Planned Parenthood, which prevents patients from
5receiving contraceptive and preventive health care at clinics of their choice across
6America; now, therefore, be it
AJR30,2,12 7Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
8Wisconsin legislature strongly urge the federal administration to reject any attempts
9to cut taxes for millionaires and increase health care costs for patients, decrease
10access to affordable care, discriminate against trusted health care providers, and fail
11to provide, in the words of the President of the United States, “insurance for
12everybody”; and, be it further
AJR30,2,17 13Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall send a copy of this resolution to
14the President of the United States, the United States Secretary of Health and
15Human Services, the Speaker and Clerk of the United States House of
16Representatives, the President Pro Tempore and Secretary of the United States
17Senate, and the members of the Wisconsin Congressional delegation.
