AJR52,1,53 Whereas, free and charitable clinics increase access to primary health care for
4uninsured and medically underserved Wisconsinites through innovative service
5delivery models; and
AJR52,1,86 Whereas, 75,000 individuals through 200,000 patient visits receive health care
7at Wisconsin's 70 free and charitable clinics that provide life-saving health care in
8over 50 counties; and
AJR52,1,109 Whereas, 1,660 licensed providers volunteer at Wisconsin's free and charitable
10clinics; and
AJR52,1,1311 Whereas, free and charitable clinics provide a multifaceted approach to
12increase access to health care, dental care, and behavioral health, along with referral
13services; and

1Whereas, through free and charitable clinics, private/public partnerships are
2developed and for every dollar donated to a free and charitable clinic five to seven
3dollars of care is provided; and
AJR52,2,54 Whereas, patients of free and charitable clinics live healthier lives; now,
5therefore, be it
AJR52,2,8 6Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the legislature
7hereby designates the first week of April 2017, and subsequent yearly anniversaries,
8as Wisconsin Free and Charitable Clinic Week in Wisconsin.
