2in Parkland, Florida.
AR24,1,53 Whereas, on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in Parkland, Florida, a gunman
4opened fire on innocent students, teachers, and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas
5High School; and
AR24,1,76 Whereas, the Wisconsin State Assembly remembers and honors the families of
7those who were harmed or needlessly lost their lives that day; and
AR24,1,128 Whereas, the State Assembly especially recognizes the heroic actions of
9members of the school community, including teacher Melissa Falkowski who helped
10hide 19 students, a yet unnamed janitor who diverted students away from the
11shooter, and football coach Aaron Feis who lost his life shielding students from
12gunfire; and
AR24,1,1413 Whereas, the State Assembly strongly denounces those who use senseless
14violence to inflict harm onto fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it

1Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the Wisconsin State
2Assembly condemn the violence that occurred in Parkland, Florida.
