AR3,1,4 1To repeal assembly rule 11 (3m); to amend assembly rule 5 (1) (b), assembly rule
298 (1), assembly rule 98 (3), assembly rule 98 (4) and assembly rule 98 (5)
3(intro.); and to repeal and recreate assembly rule 14 (2); relating to: the
4assembly rules.

This resolution makes the following changes to the assembly rules:
Committee participation via audiovisual transmission
The resolution eliminates a rule that permits members who are connected to
a committee meeting by means of a two-way, audiovisual transmission to be
considered present for all committee purposes.
Terminology change relating to campaign committee activity
The resolution updates provisions in the assembly rules relating to campaign
committee activity.
Schedule of committee activities
The resolution conforms the rules to the assembly's current practices for
publishing the committee schedule on the legislature's website.

AR3,1 6Section 1 . Assembly rule 5 (1) (b) is amended to read:

1Assembly Rule 5 (1) (b) Supervise the preparation and keeping of the daily
2journal, daily calendars, bulletins of proceedings, and weekly schedule of committee
3activities.
AR3,2 4Section 2 . Assembly rule 11 (3m) is repealed.
AR3,3 5Section 3 . Assembly rule 14 (2) is repealed and recreated to read:
AR3,2,10 6Assembly Rule 14 (2) The chief clerk shall publish, on a daily basis on the
7legislature's website, a committee schedule containing the name of each committee,
8its chairperson, the room number or place, and the time and date of each meeting
9scheduled; and, if applicable, shall designate each proposal, appointment, or
10administrative rule to be heard by number or name, author, and topic.
AR3,4 11Section 4 . Assembly rule 98 (1) is amended to read:
AR3,2,17 12Assembly Rule 98 (1) A member may not schedule, hold, attend, or contribute
13money for or at a fund-raising social event in Dane County during a floorperiod of
14the legislature or during a special or extraordinary session if the event is for a
15member; is sponsored by the member's personal campaign candidate committee, as
16defined in section 11.01 11.0101 of the statutes; or is sponsored by a legislative
17campaign committee, as defined in section 11.01 11.0101 of the statutes.
AR3,5 18Section 5 . Assembly rule 98 (3) is amended to read:
AR3,2,25 19Assembly Rule 98 (3) Subsection (1) does not apply to a fund-raising social
20event of a current member of the assembly or his or her personal campaign candidate
21committee held during the period between the first day authorized for filing
22nomination papers for any office for which the current member of the assembly is a
23candidate and the date of the election for that office, if the event is held within the
24boundaries of the jurisdiction or district served by the office for which the current
25member of the assembly is a candidate.

6which the current member of the assembly is a candidate and the date of the election
7for that other office.
