2transportation network companies, their drivers, and the drivers' vehicles by

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill exempts a first class city from the prohibition against local regulation
of transportation network companies (TNCs), their drivers, and the drivers' vehicles.
Under current law the Department of Safety and Professional Services has exclusive
authority to regulate TNCs, their drivers, and the drivers' vehicles.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB181,1 4Section 1. 440.465 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB181,2,35 440.465 (1) Section 349.24 does not apply to a transportation network company
6or to a participating driver engaged in transportation network services or the
