3Wisconsin, and passed away on October 3, 2017, at the age of 58; and

5and worked to support himself and his family from an early age; and
SJR106,1,76 Whereas, Representative Gannon graduated from West Bend East High School
7in 1977; and
SJR106,1,108 Whereas, Representative Gannon was proud to become a local business owner,
9having served as a managing partner of Richards Insurance of West Bend, among
10other business endeavors; and
SJR106,1,1411 Whereas, Representative Gannon demonstrated his lifelong commitment to
12civic responsibility by assuming leadership roles within the West Bend Chamber of
13Commerce, West Bend Economic Development Corporation, West Bend Sunrise
14Rotary, West Bend Jaycees and Family Promise of Washington County; and

1Whereas, Representative Gannon was a passionate champion of limited
2government and fiscal responsibility, two of the causes he remained steadfastly
3committed to following his election to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2014; and

5constituents with candor and frankness; and
SJR106,2,86 Whereas, Representative Gannon served on the Assembly Urban
7Revitalization Committee as chair, the Assembly Children and Families Committee
8as vice chair and various other committees; and
SJR106,2,109 Whereas, Representative Gannon forged friendships with both former
10competitors and colleagues across the aisle; and
SJR106,2,1211 Whereas, Representative Gannon was an outspoken conservative and advocate
12for his party's principles; and
SJR106,2,1413 Whereas, Representative Gannon was a Christian who practiced his faith at
14Still Waters United Methodist; and
SJR106,2,1715 Whereas, Representative Gannon was commonly referred to as “Mr.
16Wonderful,” “Big Bad Bobby G.” and “Insurance Agent Man,” in addition to
17“Gentleman from the 58th”; and
SJR106,2,2018 Whereas, Bob was a loving husband to Kris; father to Shanna and Bryce;
19grandfather to Gavin; son to Thomas and Jane; and brother to nine siblings; now,
20therefore, be it
SJR106,2,24 21Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the legislature of
22the state of Wisconsin honors the life and service of Robert “Bob” Gannon and extends
23its heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends, colleagues and former constituents;
24and, be it further

1Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this joint
2resolution to Representative Gannon's family.
