SJR89,1,32 Whereas, former state legislator Myron Lotto was born on April 7, 1925, and
3died on October 31, 2017; and
SJR89,1,54 Whereas, after his father's death, Myron Lotto took over the family farm at age
517, and he later went on to serve the state of Wisconsin in the State Guard; and
SJR89,1,76 Whereas, Myron Lotto was active in and dedicated to both state and local
7politics; and
SJR89,1,108 Whereas, Myron Lotto served in the Wisconsin Senate from 1969 to 1973, where
9he served on the Committees on Labor, Taxation, Insurance and Banking, Housing
10and Urban Development, and Governmental and Veteran's Affairs; and
SJR89,1,1311 Whereas, Myron Lotto took a lead in drafting legislation to track criminal
12records and statistics, conserve and promote our natural resources, increase
13pensions for state employees, and more; and

1Whereas, Myron Lotto served as Chairman of the former Town of DePere for 12
2years and successfully changed the town's name to the Town of Ledgeview to allow
3the community to form its own identity; and
SJR89,2,54 Whereas, Myron Lotto was a member of the Brown County Board for 16 years
5and served as Chairman of the Board for six years; and
SJR89,2,76 Whereas, Margaret Hutjens was Myron Lotto's wife of 66 years, and she
7preceded him in passing in April 2013; and
SJR89,2,118 Whereas, Myron Lotto is survived and missed greatly by his children Michael
9Lotto, Nancy Pierce, Cindy Otto, Diane Studley, Lou Kidd, Bernie Lotto, and Denis
10Lotto, as well as his 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; now, therefore,

SJR89,2,14 12Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
13Wisconsin Legislature salute Myron Lotto for his years of public service and mourn
14his death; and, be it further
SJR89,2,16 15Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide copies of this resolution to
16Myron Lotto's children and grandchildren.
