AB679,1,2 1An Act to repeal and recreate 563.907 (2) of the statutes; relating to:
2licensure of local organizations to conduct raffles.

Under this bill, local organizations may obtain licenses to conduct raffles only
if they meet all of the following: the organization's headquarters are located in, or the
organization is a local chapter located in, Wisconsin, the organization expends a
majority of its total funds raised on activities in Wisconsin, and the organization
limits expenditure of raffle proceeds to activities in Wisconsin or in an area that is
partly in Wisconsin and partly in another state. Currently, a local organization is
allowed to conduct a raffle if its activities are limited to this state, a specific
geographical area within this state, or a specific geographical area that is partly
within this state and partly within another state.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB679,1,54 563.907 (2) Local organizations that may conduct raffles include only those
5organizations that meet all of the following criteria:

1(a) The headquarters of the organization are located in this state or the
2organization is a local chapter located in this state.
AB679,2,43 (b) The organization expends a majority of the total funds it raises on activities
4in this state.
AB679,2,75 (c) The organization limits expenditure of proceeds from raffles conducted
6under this subchapter to activities in this state or in a specific geographical area that
7is partly within this state and partly within another state.
