AJR120,1,2 Relating to: congratulating the Edgewood High School Crusaders girls golf team on winning the team title at the state golf tournament.

AJR120,1,5 Whereas, the Edgewood Crusaders took home the team title at the Division 2 WIAA Girls State Golf Tournament on October 15, 2019, at University Ridge Golf Course; and

AJR120,1,7 Whereas, the Edgewood Crusaders displayed a high level of focus and skill to secure this team title with an exceptional score of 702; and

AJR120,1,9 Whereas, this win is the 15th team title for the Edgewood Crusaders, making it a historic accomplishment for the high school; and

AJR120,1,12 Whereas, senior Grace Welch won the top individual honor for shooting 14 over and her competitive game led the Crusaders to win their second team title in her four-year career; and

AJR120,2,2 Whereas, the talent and dedication of team members Elise Burkhartzmeyer, Alaka Leske, Anaka Leske, Grace Welch, Caitlyn Hegenbarth, Grace Jaeger, Isabella Meier, Allysa Thao, and Sarah Nakada worked together to claim the victory; and

AJR120,2,4 Whereas, head coach Peggy Gierhart and assistant coaches Betsy Zadra and Mark Rechlicz were integral to the team's tremendous success; and

AJR120,2,7 Whereas, the Edgewood Crusaders demonstrated integrity, leadership, and superior athleticism and sportsmanship throughout the season; now, therefore, be it

AJR120,2,11 Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin State Legislature commends the Edgewood High School Crusaders girls golf team for its achievements this season and wishes the girls luck and success in their postseason endeavors.
