SB24,1,3 1An Act to create 13.083 of the statutes; relating to: supermajority vote
2required for passage of bills, adoption of resolutions, and confirmation of
3appointments taken up after general election.

The bill provides that during the period that begins on the day after the
November general election and ends on the day before the start of the next legislative
biennial session in January, no house of the legislature may pass a bill, adopt a
resolution, or confirm an appointment without the approval of two-thirds of those
members present and voting.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB24,1 4Section 1. 13.083 of the statutes is created to read:
SB24,2,2 513.083 Supermajority vote for certain bills, resolutions, and
6appointments.
During the period that begins on the day after the general election,
7as defined in s. 5.02 (5), and ends on the day before the start of the next legislative
8biennial session, no house of the legislature may pass a bill, adopt a resolution, or

1confirm an appointment without the approval of two-thirds of those members
2present and voting.
