6growth and excellence within the University, already a hub for education, research,
7knowledge, and innovation; and

Whereas, Chancellor Blank's introduction of Bucky's Tuition Promise saw a
9more diverse and inclusive student body emerge, in which students from low-income
10families and students of color could seek the benefits of attending one of the nation's
11most prestigious public universities; and

13earned her the 2021 Posse Foundation Star Award for her leadership in educational

assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
11Wisconsin Legislature join in honoring Dr. Rebecca M. Blank as an inspirational and
12cherished leader of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and in thanking her for her
13service to our state.
