561.01 561.01 Definitions. In chs. 561 to 569:
561.01(1) (1) "Administrative services division" means the administrative services division in the board.
561.01(2) (2) "Board" means the gaming board.
561.01(3) (3) "Gaming security division" means the gaming security division in the board.
561.01(5) (5) "Racing division" means the racing division in the board.

561.02 561.02 General powers and duties of board.
561.02(1) (1) The board shall coordinate and regulate all activities relating to, and promulgate all rules relating to, racing and pari-mutuel wagering conducted under ch. 562, bingo and raffles conducted under ch. 563 and crane games conducted under ch. 564, and shall perform its duties and functions under ch. 569 regarding Indian gaming.
561.02(2) (2) The department of revenue may promulgate rules relating to the state lottery under ch. 565.

561.03 561.03 Executive director. The governor shall nominate, and with the advice and consent of the senate appoint, an executive director of the board, who shall assist the board in performing its duties under s. 561.02 (1).

561.04 561.04 Administrative services division. The administrative services division shall provide budgetary, personnel, business management, data processing and centralized record maintenance services for the board.

561.06 561.06 Gaming security division. The gaming security division shall do all of the following:
561.06(1) (1) Subject to s. 565.25 (1m), provide all of the security services for the gaming operations under chs. 562 to 569.
561.06(2) (2) Monitor the regulatory compliance of gaming operations under chs. 562 to 569.
561.06(3) (3) Audit the gaming operations under chs. 562 to 569.
561.06(4) (4) Investigate suspected violations of chs. 562 to 569.
561.06(5) (5) Report suspected gaming-related criminal activity to the division of criminal investigation in the department of justice for investigation by that division.
561.06(6) (6) If the division of criminal investigation in the department of justice chooses not to investigate a report under sub. (5), coordinate an investigation of the suspected criminal activity with local law enforcement officials and district attorneys.

561.08 561.08 Racing division. The racing division shall do all of the following:
561.08(1) (1) Advise the board on policy making and rule making relating to races, wagering, licenses, contracts, marketing and sales activities under ch. 562.
561.08(2) (2) Under the direction of the board, administer the requirements under ch. 562.

561.12 561.12 Charitable gaming and crane games. The board shall establish a separate subunit in the board to do all of the following:
561.12(1) (1) Advise the board on policy making and rule making relating to the conduct of bingo and raffles under ch. 563, and to the play and regulation of crane games under ch. 564.
561.12(2) (2) Under the direction of the board, administer the requirements under chs. 563 and 564.

561.14 561.14 Indian gaming. The board shall establish a separate subunit in the board to perform the duties and functions of the board under ch. 569.
