The Senate met.
The Senate was called to order by Senator Fred Risser.
The roll was called and the following Senators answered to their names:

The Senate remained standing and Senator Wineke led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
Senator Risser, with unanimous consent, introduced Ephraim G. Jane, who is a table officer with the Namibia National Council and Miriam Nghitotovali, who is a committee clerk with the Namibia National Council.
Senator Chvala, with unanimous consent, asked that milk and cookies be distributed to each of the Senators on the floor.
