ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 9

AB9-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB9-AA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 2: after that line insert:

AB9-AA1,1,3 “(ag) “Governing body” means any of the following:

AB9-AA1,1,5 1. For a public school other than a charter school that is not an instrumentality of a school board, a school board.

AB9-AA1,1,8 2. For a charter school that is not an instrumentality of a school board, including a charter school authorized under s. 118.40 (2r) or (2x), the governing board of the charter school.”.

AB9-AA1,1,9 2. Page 2, line 3: delete “(a)” and substitute “(as)”.

AB9-AA1,1,10 3. Page 2, line 9: delete “principal” and substitute “governing body”.

AB9-AA1,1,11 4. Page 2, line 17: delete lines 17 and 18 and substitute:

AB9-AA1,2,3 “the governing body of a school, the governing body or its designee may schedule at least one date and time, which may be noninstructional time as determined by the governing body or its designee, during the”.
