SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 675

January 5, 2026 - Offered by Senator Feyen.

SB675-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB675-SA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 2: delete “identity verification under the unemployment insurance law” and substitute “the department of workforce development”.

SB675-SA1,1,4 2. Page 2, line 8: after that line insert:

SB675-SA1,1,5 “Section 2m. 20.445 (1) (sm) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB675-SA1,1,11 20.445 (1) (sm) Uninsured employers fund; payments. From the uninsured employers fund, a sum sufficient to make the payments under s. 102.81 (1) and to obtain reinsurance pay the costs specified under s. 102.81 (2). No moneys may be expended or encumbered under this paragraph until the first day of the first July beginning after the day that the secretary of workforce development files the certificate under s. 102.80 (3) (a).

SB675-SA1,3m Section 3m. Fiscal changes.

SB675-SA1,2,7 (1) In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of workforce development under s. 20.445 (1) (ra), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2025-26 is increased by $834,700 for the purpose for which the appropriation is made. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of workforce development under s. 20.445 (1) (ra), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2026-27 is increased by $941,800 for the purpose for which the appropriation is made.”.
